LifeCents celebrated the launch of its redesigned, reimagined financial health and wellness app on November 14th at District Winery in Washington D.C. Attended by more than 150 local and federal government officials, media, tech and industry titans, the event was a celebration of the LifeCents mission: to inspire and empower people to acquire the knowledge, build the habits, and gain the confidence they need to make smarter everyday financial decisions.
The evening began with welcoming remarks by LifeCents’ Special Projects Manager, Whitney Jones, who highlighted LifeCents’ 2018 milestones and achievements and concluded with a keynote speech by Founder and CEO Blake Allison, who shared his vision for the company and thoughts on the future of the financial wellness industry.
Additional remarks were made by LaToria Pierce, of AARP Foundations, and Michelle Hammonds, of DC’s Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB). Both speakers highlighted the pivotal role LifeCents played in the financial health and wellness of initiatives developed by their organizations.
Throughout the evening guests immersed themselves in the reimagined LifeCents app; from experiencing a demo of the redesigned platform with a LifeCents team member, to taking a self-guided tour through LifeCents’ unique features such as Connections, Badges, Challenges, Financial Health Report, Discovery and more.
The event was a huge success for the LifeCents team and a testament to the company’s mission.
